Well, I finally decided to get the game Robokill. It's a flash game, sort of smash TV / Zelda styled. Not going to talk about it much, but if you like shooting stuff and dodging shots, give it a try! The demo gives a great taste of the full version. The full version gets a bit easier as you get better weapons, but the final mission or two get brutal.
The only problem is that they throw a lot of rooms at you in the final missions, and your in-mission progress doesn't save across sessions.

They've also got Robokill 2 out! It seems to pick up in difficulty where robokill leaves off. I'm still working through the demo, and I've died a few times, put it down, and come back to it. It introduces new enemies -- organic enemies, rather than just robots. It's a nice enhancement to the original game.
